OUR STORY
On June 10, 1951, sixty people gathered at the VFW Hall in Milwaukie to lay the foundation for a new church plant. Back then, Milwaukie was still a rural community of just 5,000 residents. But, it was a place poised to grow and everyone who gathered that day wanted to be ready to make an impact for Jesus. The church was initially called First Baptist and was committed to the Word of God, and taking the Good News of Jesus to Milwaukie and the ends of the earth.
Today, we are known as GracePointe. Though the times have changed and styles are different, we are still the same community of faith – committed to the Word of God, loving our community, and reaching out to everyone with the love of Jesus.
